October 14, 2009 11:59 AM PDT
OK this is originally sung in German though I'm playing an English version as well. I found out about this by browsing a Anti-Bush site some years ago, Eric Blumrich used it in the background of a flash video about Bush's treatment of Veterans. Its a very haunting song I think and I hop you enjoy it. Verflucht bis ihr verhungert-German Version Crucified Division [desert Mixx] Rendal's Picks #67 Part 1 (Bejewled:1984-Network)October 14, 2009 11:40 AM PDT
Ever wonder when people say they bring up the original Bejeweled for the music what exactly they meant? Well this would be it. When you start a game up this is what loops in the background. The song is called 1984-Network and can be downloaded as an MP3 by Clicking Here Rendal's Picks #66 Jerry Reed and Evangeline
October 07, 2009 11:36 AM PDT
A bit of a odd one I know but I wanted to do these and while it might be better to do it in two parts as they are so short, at only about 15 minutes total, I just threw them in together. All links are to videos. First set is the three songs Jerry Reed wrote for Smokey and the Bandit. The Legend
Second are the only two Evangeline songs I can find on the internet. Bayou Boy-from the album Evangeline
September 30, 2009 11:46 AM PDT

Pic from Excessively Dangerous Thing Archive Rendal's Picks #64-Monopoly 1995 (MIDI to MP3)
September 23, 2009 12:09 PM PDT
Today's show is centered around a video game, an old one. I've had Monopoly 1995 for many years and always loved the music in it, So I found a MIDI to MP3 program and converted them all. The downside, there are no titles I can find so no track list unfortunately. Game made by Westwood. 17 Tracks, Playtime about 55 minutes Rendal's Picks #63 (Mooma-Herd Forming)
September 16, 2009 11:32 AM PDT
Thanks to the bumper I discovered the Ambient artist Mooma. What I'm playing today is Herd Forming, the album that Entropy is on, that's the name of the background in Urgelt's video. It runs a little over an hour so its a long one but worth it I think. All tracks obviously credited to Mooma. Bumper:Urgelt-A Grain of Sand
September 09, 2009 11:38 AM PDT
this was an OH Shit moment where I realized I hadn't come up with any ideas yet (I have one for next week though, fair warning its going over an hour Yvette Blais/Jeff Michael/Erika Lane-Fat Albert Theme
September 02, 2009 11:43 AM PDT
OK this one came about when I got a couple of songs in my head and thought it would be fun to to build a play list around them. Like the title says this is most likely not safe to play at work because of the language and themes in the songs. Songs Played Bumper:Velvet Acid Christ-Phucking Phreak
July 08, 2009 12:18 PM PDT
I've been feeling really lost since I stepped down from a volunteer job in SL I had for two and a half years as a group coordinator and have had trouble getting motivated to do much of anything since. I wanted to do a show today and it took me a while to find a song but this one fits my situation well I think. Lyrics if i could only be the queen of popularity
if i could always be
i could do anything
what i would do ...
i could do anything
June 17, 2009 02:14 PM PDT
Today I'm playing I guess the evolution of a song, Aerosmith's Walk This Way. First up we have the original, then followed by a collaboration with RUN-DMC, a 1998 remix of the collaboration and finally one labeled Girls Aloud vs Sugarbabes. Enjoy. Rendal's Picks #58 Lazy time :PJune 03, 2009 12:29 PM PDT

This will only be on Podomatic due to time length. Rendal's Picks #53 (Halloween and the Last Crusade)April 22, 2009 11:22 AM PDT
OK very out of season I know but I found this CD:Halloween featuring the music of John Carpenter (Composer) with Scarey Sound FX as an MP3 download and figured it would be cool to own. Track Listing (in order played) Halloween Theme John Carpenter Composer
Now here's the funny part. I ended up finding that because I put in John Carpenter while thinking of John Williams. The following song is the one I was looking for and its on the albums Indana Jones and the Last Crusade and Indiana Jones:The Soundtracks Collection. April 08, 2009 11:34 AM PDT
I was browsing around and thought for the heck of it I would see what I could find on the song Pop Corn. I didn't know there were so many covers of the thing O.o. Here are some of my favorites, including the "true" original version from 1969, if you've not heard it its nothing like the others. Good list of popcorn versions at: WFMU's Beware of the Blog Gershon Kingsley-Pop Corn

[Candy_Corp.] is a band I found a song from a couple weeks ago and looks like they are either gone or have changed their name. Including the bumper music this is all I can find. January 14, 2009 10:43 AM PST
OK Warning now these video links aren't safe for work probably so if you click and get caught I did warn you. The character Sol was played by Craig Conway Last week I watched a movie called Doomsday. This was a really good gritty movie and had one of the best comedy scenes I've ever seen. Going into it things are dark and in some cases brutal. Several people getting killed and the lead lady being very stiffly interrogated. Then this scene comes on and I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. It was so ridiculously out of place and yet fit so well once I learned who sang the song it is something you just have to shake your head and snicker at. So with that aside the first link will go to the German (I think) Version of this scene. Fine Young Cannibals-Good Thing-Only in part of the clip but just the fact they played it is funny. OK so after that I found someone had replaced the audio of the above scene and replaced it with a group I can find nothing about yet called Candy Corp (for obvious reasons to you now I'm sure). The song is called Scream for Me and if you listen to the lyrics you can pick out the quote from the movie Legend that probably helped inspire it. Update: Found them though not sure if they are going by that name anymore. It was Candy_Corp. (I didn't think the underscore was part of the name) and can be found on Vampire Freaks and Pure Volume Rendal's Picks #43-Seeing the wave in color
January 07, 2009 10:38 AM PST
This was supposed to just be the song In Color but I happened upon this scene from the movie Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas and it fit so perfectly I couldn't keep it out. Johnny Depp-The Wave Speech -------------------------------------------------------- I found this purely by accident while checking out this post on Percy Pringle III's Blog (Also known as wrestling manager Paul Bearer), It really hit me close to home as I never knew either of my grandparents. So here is the song, sit back and enjoy. Jamey Johnson-In Color Rendal's Picks #42 Year's End Review Part 2December 31, 2008 12:45 PM PST

Today I decided to go off base a bit and play the entirty of Radio Sub Rosa's album "Emerald Empire". Please note if you download this album, none of these are the "official" track names. I put these names in because it helps me remember what I'm playing and what songs are. So simply look for Track # whatever for the songs below. I'm obviously not going to put Radio Sub Rosa down for artist every time so here are the "titles": (marked Explicit more for content which might offend people than swearing) Calling All Freaks

This was a song Williams and Ree (aka The Indian and the White guy) sang on a promotional video for south Dakota's department of Tourism which had the pair going from Sioux Falls to Mount Rushmore. While I've lost the video this song remains and I would like to share it. Lyrics: Hanging from a string
Was a lil old stone
There wasn't much food
Then Mom would boil up some water
And I swear you could taste
But it really wasn't nothin'
That soup stone been in the family
I remember Mama
"It's a magical stone
Just add a little love
And I swear you could taste
But it really wasn't nothin'
It carried us all
and the soup stone started
And ever since then
think about my Momma in the kitchen
And Again I can Taste
boilin') But it really wasn't nothin'
And again I can taste
But it really wasn't nothin'
